Om Yoga Show - A Panel Discussion on Permissioned Consent to Touch

A Panel Discussion on Permissioned Consent to Touch in Yoga with Yoga Alliance and Guest Panel

Over the last 60 years in the West, consent to touch has been and continues to be assumed by yoga students and teachers, but should it?

In many places, we are moving from a place of implied consent to permissioned consent so that yoga teachers know without confusion what students prefer in terms of contact during class.

Join Yoga Alliance and our guest panelists for a discussion on consent, the student-teacher dynamic, and on creating safer and more inclusive spaces for all yoga practitioners.

  • Lecture hall holds 50 – 60 people + standing room

Host:

Erin Peck, Vice President of Credentialing, Yoga Alliance
